Notice is hereby given pursuant to VA Code §15.2-2204, that the Town of Irvington Town Council in conjunction with the Planning Commission is holding a joint public hearing on Tuesday August 11, 2020 starting at 5:30 PM at the Irvington Baptist Church to hear public views about two (2) pending conditional use Permit (CUP) applications.

Notice is hereby given that the Budget & Finance Committee of the Irvington Town Council will hold a special called meeting to be held on Monday, August 1, 2020 at 12 PM at the Town Office.

Per the request of Mayor Bugg the Irvington town office will
be closed Tuesday, August 4, 2020 due to inclement weather
from Hurricane Isaias.

A public hearing will be held on August 13, 2020 during the 6:30 pm Irvington Town
Council meeting, for Council to hear comments from the public about the Town’s
intention to request VDOT and the Commonwealth Transportation Board to authorize a
through truck restriction on Route 200 such that Route 3 to Route 646 (Old Salem Road)
shall be the appropriate alternate route around Irvington. The public is invited to appear
and comment on the through truck restriction. A copy of Resolution 2020-10 is available
at the Town Office for inspection. This Resolution concerning a through truck restriction
will be voted on at the August 13, 2020 meeting.
This public hearing is required by VA Code §46.2-809.
